Yesterday I moved Mom back into her old apartment. They finished the work finally. She was really happy to get back and I can't say I blame her. She's had a hard time at the new place. A pipe broke in her bathroom and flooded the apartment. They had to rip a hole in her wall to fix it and all the wood floor tiles in her hall buckled up so they had to repalce those to. She couldn't get her wheelchair out of ther apartment, over the buckled tiles, for 2 days until they fixed it. Her key never worked in the front door and she always had to get someone to let her in. She never got the hang of the intercom system. So it is true what they say about old dogs learning new tricks....or it is just 'mom'?? Maybe a bit of both.

The day before her last day there, the washing machine in the laundry room she was using overflowed and flooded the laundry area. They had to come and suck up all the water. Mom is terribly shy and having all these people buzzing around her sent her into one of her panic attacks.

So she is happy to be back in her old place, for sure. Meanwhile, I have been researching my Mom's side of the family history and having a blast figuring it all out. But it keeps me really busy.

So, Henry, I guess you guys are moved now. Hope to hear all about it on your blog! Dish, dish!

I have a physical coming up next week that I have been dreading for awhile now. I know I am out of shape, I don't need the doctor scolding me like I am a child to make me loose weight. I have a mirror. I can see the fat. I just hate going to see her and listening to her lecture me about my eating habits. Newsflash....I like to eat! I eat when I am happy, sad, or for fun, because I love to cook. Oh well.

I have been doing really good with my workouts though. Paul and I have been going to the nature parks for long walks (and a bit of jogging) almost every day for the last 2 weeks. Today was the first day we took off in awhile. I was beat after all that moving mom yesterday. Plus, I had to take her to the eye doctor today. What an ordeal that was! I don't know how she is going to get her eyes operated on. But, she is getting it done, either way. With or without her cooperation.

Have a great weekend everyone! Maybe I will post some pics of the doggy date this weekend. Maybe my friend with the greyhound will join us....

I love going to the doctor, did I mention before he's hot?!? That makes it a wee bit easier! LOL! The only thing wrong with me is a few extra pounds and my cholesterol is at the high end of normal. Aaron and I are going to get the bike trailer out this weekend and then hopefully start jogging with the rugrats next week, can't wait for bike season!
