We are currently working on our laundry room/half bathroom. As you will notice by the changing tree out the window, the seasons are changing, but it is still not finished.

This was a room I wallpapered because the walls underneath the old paper was so badly damaged. It looks pink here, but honestly, it is tan.

The whole place was really a dump when we bought it. I have never seen anything so dirty in my entire life. Now, lord knows I am no Martha Stewart, but this had cat puke left to dry onto the carpets. Even though we replaced the flooring, wainscotting and wallpaper, not to mention we also painted, I can still smell a hint of cat odor out there some days.

I really don't know why, but half the wainscotting was ripped off the walls in this room (as you can see). Why someone would take half of it off and leave it like that, I will never know. We got a plummer to install the laudry sink for us when we moved it. There was a toilet out there but no sink at all. I am sure they were not the kind of people who cared to wash their hands anyway.

Those pictures of the wainscotting brought back memories. When we bought our house, the previous owners tried to add a touch of country to a very modern house by adding wainscotting just on the corners of the rooms! That was one of the first things I did when Joe's back was turned...rip it down! We had other "decorating" issues, but we'll keep that for another day!

Just at the corners? That is a little weird. I wonder what people have in mind sometimes when you see their decorating results.
